Harrison, the international hospitality design and brand development consultancy with offices in the UAE, UK and the USA, is expanding its Dubai-based team with the appointment of experienced licensed architect Joran Lacsao.
Joran has consulted on the Middle East architectural design projects for over a decade, latterly as an architect at the National Engineering Bureau in Dubai and previously for an international design studio advising multinational hotel brands such as Sheraton, Hilton, Hyatt Regency, Le Meridien and Marriott.
At Harrison, his responsibilities will include assisting the designers on the production of construction drawings as well as advising on the technical aspects of individual projects.
Commenting on the new addition, Harrison’s UAE head, Jon Bentley, said: “We are extremely fortunate to be able to bring Joran on board here in Dubai and to welcome him as a key member of our team. He reinforces our ability to offer clients inspirational, global design knowledge combined with strong, local technical expertise.”
Joran’s appointment follows the arrival earlier this year of two new senior designers at Harrison’s UAE office – bar and restaurant senior designer Kerrie Gray and experienced hotel hospitality designer Jim Rankin.
Harrison’s growth in the Middle East has been spurred on by a strengthening pipeline of one-off and multi-site projects in the region, including Cocoa Kitchen in City Walk, Eat Greek in Dubai Mall and The Brass in JBR.
