Turkish firm Tabanlıoğlu Architects is in the running for two Cityscape Awards for Architecture in the Emerging Markets.
The architecture firm has been shortlisted for the Asmacati Shopping and Meeting Point in Izmir, Turkey (pictured), in the Commercial/Mixed-Use Built category, and the Sipopo Congress Centre in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, in the Commercial Built category.
The firm is hoping to repeat its success at last year’s awards, when it was honoured for its Tripoli Congress Center in Libya.
Tabanlıoğlu Architects is also exhibiting at Cityscape Global, which runs from 27 – 29 September 2011 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The winners of the architecture awards will be announced during a ceremony on 27 September.
Cityscape Global will also feature the World Architecture Congress from 27 – 28 September, in which experts discuss the current challenges in the industry. The speakers’ panel will include Tabanlıoğlu partners Murat and Melkan Tabanlıoğlu.
