Swiss Bureau Interior Design has created the interiors of private Swiss bank, Banque Mirabaud in Emirates Financial Tower, DIFC within a timeframe of 12 weeks.
The interior design company, founded by Joakim de Rham and partner, Maher Al Zarooni in Dubai in 2004, won the contract after it was put out to tender.
The brief was to create a flexible functional office reflecting the future growth of the company. To respond to all necessary technical constrains a bank needs in terms of security and to design a project which shows the corporate identity of Banque Mirabaud.
“Our inspiration came from the bank itself. It is a traditional bank from Switzerland, and we had to capture its identity with some touches of Swiss style,” said de Rham.
“The style of the client zone is simple with some elegant curves. We used the least amount of material as possible and created a certain harmony between the reception and different lounges.”
The main challenge for the design team was to complete the work within 12 weeks.
“We had different constraints from the building, a lot of technical requirements and many design details that were quite complicated but finally we did it,” added de Rham.
