Summertown has completed the second phase of Siemens workspace project in “The Galleries” building, at Jebel Ali, with design consultant Bluehaus Group.

The contract included MEP consultants Clarke Samadhin Associates and project and cost management firm Arcadis as well as Siemen’s in-house team.

The brief asked for a series of flexible workstations that would allow employees to carry out tasks effectively and move around the workspace with ease.

“After ensuring an efficient and aesthetic layout for the workspace, the key was to deliver the tailored design features – such as the curved wall and seating areas designed by Bluehaus Group – that would create a comfortable, casual space that encompasses the inherent culture at Siemens,” said Jimmy Lynch, general manager, Summertown Interiors.

The timeframe for the 30,000 square feet office fit-out was eight weeks. To succeed it was essential that all parties worked together in collaboration, with an open and transparent approach.”

Terry John Baptiste, head of real estate – lower Gulf Siemens said when setting up a regional office in Dubai, it was priority to have an office that embraced the company’s forward-thinking attitude and concentrated on the needs of its employees.

“We were delighted to see a high standard of organisation and collaboration between Bluehaus Group, Arcadis and Summertown throughout the project –  this is something that was fundamental in the development of a modern, open office environment that is truly Siemens,” he added.
