Interior designers are gearing up for an increase in demand across Saudi Arabia as $5.6bn worth of commercial real estate projects are due to be completed this year.

Major government investments into hospital and education infrastructure coupled with the completion of hospitality and office space is creating significant demand for interior design and fit-out services in the Kingdom.

To showcase designs Decofair 2013 will take place from November 29 until December 2 at the Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events.

It is set to attract architects, designers, buyers, agents and managers involved in the kingdom’s key projects.

“Unlike most of the other GCC markets, the Saudi real estate market is driven primarily by internal demand generated by the rapidly growing local population and robust economy,” said Naomi Barton, director, Reed Sunaidi Exhibitions who are staging the event.

“Saudi Arabia offers one of the most buoyant interior design markets in the region and Decofair’s additional office and commercial focus will help to
facilitate real business between project handlers and exhibitors.”

Decofair will be featuring office and business designs among the residential interior projects on show.

The organizers say visitors will find some of the world’s top interior brands in hospital, education, office and hospitality services, many of whom are showcasing their products in the region for the first time.

Among the exhibitors are Vitra, König + Neurath, Casa Milano,  Klass, L’Abbate, Palma, Piaval and
Riccardo Rivoli.

Decofair is organised by Reed Sunaidi Exhibitions, a joint venture between Reed Exhibitions and Sunaidi Expo, a division of Alfadl Group.
