A Parisian inspired development in the heart of Qatar has been unveiled at Cityscape Global by United Developers.
Architects Arab Engineering Bureau are behind the Place Vendome, a $1.25bn project in the city of Lusail.
The mixed-use entertainment city includes two five star hotels, around 400 retail outlets and a theme park, cinema and indoor bird sanctuary.
It will also feature a canal running through its centre which leads out into the sea with restaurants and cafes overlooking the water. A completion date of 2017 has been set.
Sean Kelly, project director, said: “The leaders of Qatar want to diversify and expand what the country has to offer and this is part of the Qatar Vision 2030. The development has been quite careful and considered and sustainability is a real priority.
“We are delighted with the attention that the Place Vedome has received and our participation was marked by positive meetings with retailers and industry peers, Cityscape Global has enabled us to carave out a spot for Place Vendome on the global nertwork.”
Sharjah developer Al Thuriah showcased its upcoming high-rise residential projects, Sahara Tower 4 and Sahara Tower 5 at Cityscape.
The towers will be located in the Sahara Complex, positioned as the gateway to Sharjah.
New company branding was also shown off at the event.
