Molecule is a new eatery that has opened in the Dubai Design District with a strong focus on design and aesthetics.
Boutique F&B concept design agency, Ansonia Concepts developed the design and concept for the space as well as curating and bringing in various creatives from Dubai.
Here are the various Dubai-based designers involved in the project and what they brought to the table:
Jewelry artist and designer Nadine Kanso created Molecule’s temporary hoarding, covering the entire venue is a black and white photographs that the designer snapped herself later embellishing it with colourful collage elements. The idea behind the project is to provide a perspective on the evolution and growth of Dubai.
The art, design and crafts boutique were responsible for executing the design vision of Asonia Concepts by engineering Molecule’s ceilings, floors and walls.
The Lebanese architect who founded his own firm Fadi Sarieddine Design Studio has designed the space’s restroom and bar design, with an emphasis on fusing traditional design with unconventional materials.
Light Func were responsible for the lighting Molecule with sensory lighting fixtures.
The Third Line
The Dubai-based contemporary Middle Eastern artists locally, regionally and internationally, The Third Line curated the artworks that are displayed at the eatery.
DRAK is a collective design initiative that was established in 2015 by Khalid Shafar, Khulood Thani and Nadine Kanso with the idea to establish the Ras Al Khor area of Dubai as a creative hub through promoting a pioneering design movement.
Combining their efforts, DRAK has created a special-edition set of tableware accessories for Molecule that are locally inspired.
