British developer St George is set to launch a new addition to the London skyline.
One Blackfriars is to be a 52-storey residential tower designed by Ian Simpson architects on the banks of the River Thames.
Currently in the early stages of construction it will consist of 274 studio, one, two, three and four bedroom apartments, as well as retail and restaurant space, along with a boutique-styled hotel.
There will also be a new landscaped piazza featuring landscaping and water features.
The building is shaped to allow uninterrupted views of London’s skyline, including Canary Wharf and the Tower of London. At 170m-high, the structure will use the light of the sun to reflect the nearby urban environment.
