Fairmont The Palm Hotel, Dubai
The inspiration for this five-star business resort was the Dubai sunrise and sunset over the sea and desert. Each space’s design style was derived from specially commissioned photography taken at the beginning and ending of the Dubai day. The public areas were based on the transition from sea to land. For instance, the lobby moves from aqua palettes to floral as the guest moves through the space from the beach to the garden.
Le Royal Meridien Hotel, Abu Dhabi
In this refurbishment of the existing five-star property, Le Méridien has set very precise branding standards that encompass the interior design direction. Design Work Portfolio have designed the rooms taking into account the client’s specific guidelines regarding the richness of lighting contrasts, heritage details, modern classics, cartography, art, functional form and discovery. Inspiration for the overall design theme is Pearl Diving with effects such as iridescent colour palettes and lighting effects suggestive of netting.
Sahara Group Corporate Headquarters, Executive Suite, India
Design Work Portfolio was appointed as the lead Interior Designer for the two VIP floors of the prestigious new headquarters of Sahara Pariwar in India. The aim was to create a sophisticated and refined look while maintaining the needs of a global VVIP personage and corporate team. Thus the design has sharp, precise lines that carry this project forward using an almost monochromic palette throughout the 8,000m² of design space.
Dubai Refreshments Greenfields Centre, Dubai
Dubai Refreshment Company took the decision to move to its new state-of-the-art contemporary and spacious offices in Dubai Investment Park. Design Work Portfolio, as the lead ID consultant, was chosen to create a new 5,000m² corporate space with relevant recreational areas with the aim of creating another landmark in Dubai.
The design brief was created underlining such descriptors as: majestic, imposing, striking, grandiose, contemporary and highest international standards.
Chi’ Zen Restaurant, Dubai
Chi ’Zen restaurant is a breath-taking place for the visitors. On entering the restaurant, guests are welcomed by a statue warrior believed to fend off bad spirits. Using the trademark of ‘disciplined elegance’ the designer has established oriental opulence throughout the restaurant and lounge. With a colour combination of striking blacks and rich red shades Design Work Portfolio has created a dramatic yet elegant interior.
