Having established itself in the market over 30 years ago, Romeo Interiors is one of today’s leading firms pioneering interior fit outs, manufacturing and contracting.

Supported by its parent company, Al Rajhi Holding, which has a strong balance sheet and high presence in the GCC region, Sadig Abuagla, head of marketing, explained: “Our formula for success is simple… We deliver first class quality, on time and on budget. In order to further increase its efficiency and labour productivity, the company opened a brand new 12,000m2 state of the art and climate controlled production facility in Ras Al Khaimah, serving the hospitality, residential and commercial industries.

“The last 32 years have been a very eventful and long journey for us,” said Abuagla. “We came a long way from a small furniture shop to becoming one of the leading interior firms in the
GCC region.”

Abuagla further revealed that the firm’s industry and marketplace underwent dramatic changes due to the infamous economic crisis in 2008.

“The cornerstone of our company’s decades of success in multiple facets of the interior industry has been our ability to adjust our business strategies and transform our operating platform to address changing markets,” said Abuagla. “This allows us to maintain and enhance the quality of service and value the company is accustomed to delivering to clientele.”

Since becoming ISO certified for its quality, environment, health and safety practices, Romeo Interiors used its strategic tools and guidelines to tackle some of the most demanding challenges of modern business.

“We can now ensure that our operations are as efficient as possible, as well as increase our productivity and break down barriers to international trade,” explained Abuagla.

The company is currently involved in an array of projects overseas. Abuagla revealed: “Integrating ISO standards has helped us ensure that requirements for imports and exports are met since it’s the same all over the world, therefore facilitating the movement of goods and services from country to country became a simpler task for us.”

Romeo Interiors has recently implimented the ERP system that brings all departments to common ground, streamlining business processes, providing a united view of the business as well as helping comply with regulations and allowing for a central data management and information sharing across the business.

Projects in the region are also booming for Romeo Interiors with projects spanning from the Novotel in Barsha, Movenpick in Riyadh, to Al Aqeeq Hotel in Madina. Other projects also include Tamkeen Tower in Riyadh and Anantara Island in Qatar.

Abuagla maintains a positive outlook for the coming year, noting that it seems to be promising a positive upturn in the GCC interior sector.

“Romeo Interiors will keep enhancing its internal development and maintain the same philosophy that brought us here: ‘building relationships through performance.’”

He further noted: “It doesn’t only apply to the quality of the end product, but also the manner in which Romeo Interiors conducts itself throughout the process. We are committed to maintaining this philosophy.”
