UK cancer care charity Maggie’s Centres has turned to Foster + Partners and Steven Holl Architects to design two new centres, it was reported in the British press.
The practices are the latest in a long line of famous architects to design for the charity, following in the footsteps of Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid and Rem Koolhaas.
American Holl will design a centre at the Barts and the London Trust to replace a disused 1960s office (pictured).
UK giant Foster + Partners is set to design a centre at the Christie Hospital in Manchester.
The charity was established by Maggie Keswick Jencks before her death from cancer in 1995.
