Emaar Properties has launched its first residential development at Reem – a gated community development close to Arabian Ranches in Dubai.
The company said that it is to begin selling 188 townhouses in Mira, which is the first residential site to be developed at Reem – a community that will feature a desert botanical park, camping sites, camel-riding trails, go-karting tracks, sand surfing facilities, dune buggy tracks, climbing walls and other sports and activity facilities.
The Reem development will be anchored by a huge central park and will also contain a waterpark, interactive fountains and a centerpiece water feature.
It will also contain facilities for residents such as mosques, a retail plaza, a residents’ club, restaurants, football pitches, cycling and jogging paths, a cricket pitch, miniature golf course and an outside amphitheatre.
The first homes on the site are expected to be delivered by 2016 and will go on sale on April 13.
Emaar Properties managing director Ahmad Al Matrooshi said the development was ideal for families “seeking a relaxed environment away from the bustle of the city”.
“We are giving a new interpretation to leisurely lifestyle with Reem, which meets the growing demand for villas and townhouses in Dubai,” he said.
“Reem will be a tranquil setting where residents can enjoy the thrills of the desert including buggy rides and camping.”
The development will be next to the Arabian Ranches extension at the crossroads of Al Qudra and Emirates Road.
