DuPont to target Saudi construction market

With the Saudi construction sector to be worth USD 23 billion by 2015, DuPont is working on targeting the growing market.

To address the  construction demand, DuPont and E.A. Juffali & Brothers (fabricator and distributor of DuPont Corian surfacing products in KSA) recently offered workshops to interior design and architectural students from Effat University and Dar Al Hekma College, one of the well-known interior design and architecture colleges in Saudi Arabia for women.

“Saudi construction places equal emphasis on good appearance and functionality, two qualities which are exactly what our construction materials and technologies are intended to provide,” said Tony Azzam, regional business manager, DuPont Building Innovations, Middle East, Africa, Turkey & Pakistan.

“The flexibility of our products allows developers to pursue unique designs and innovative structures that support the Kingdom’s status as the Middle East’s largest construction market,” he added.

E.A. Juffali & Brothers also organized seminars in Madinah Al Monwara inviting architects, consultants and main contractors sharing scientific methods to increasing the performance of building systems to create more sustainable residential and commercial structures in KSA through DuPont products.

The recent order by King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud to construct 500,000 houses for Saudi nationals at a cost of USD 66.7 billion places a huge demand on housing materials and technologies.
