Dubai’s Conrad Hotel turns to Somfy
Dubai’s upcoming Conrad Hotel, expected to open in the first half of 2012, will use two products from Somfy, a manufacturer of automated controls.
As a luxury brand of the Hilton International hospitality group, the 559-room hotel is housed in a 250m tower on Sheikh Zayed Road, which also contains office space.
The hotel will include 1800 units of Glydea, Somfy’s automated curtain track, for black-out curtains and sheers in guest rooms as well as public areas.
It will also feature 475 units of Sonesse 30 RTS, an ultra-quiet tubular motorisation system with radio frequency technology, which is being installed for bathrooms window coverings for roller shades as well as cord-lift Roman blinds.
Somfy automation systems have been installed in many luxury hotels in the GCC, such as Armani Hotel in Dubai, W Hotel in Doha and Park Hyatt in Jeddah.
