Speaking to Construction Week, Kais Ben Salah, senior architect at Draw Link Group, said that construction works on the $16.3m (AED60m) project are more than 45 percent complete.
Developed by Asas Investment to support Dubai Tourism Vision 2020 and the Dubai Expo 2020, the hotel’s rooms follow an ‘urban regeneration’ theme.
“[The] contemporary urban interior incorporates urban elements for the bedrooms and public areas, and this three-star business and leisure hotel will embody an international theme known as ‘urban regeneration’,” said Daousser Chennoufi, CEO at DLG.
“The theme combines architectural materials with urban connotations layered with softer materials with an end goal of reaching a setting that is urban, art driven, comfortable and practical.”
The design was developed in response to the developer’s brief that the hotel should draw inspiration from Dubai’s image and its achievements.
“The theme runs across the hotel… For instance, the pool deck has a Mikonos theme to emulate an escape from the urban environment, and a relaxing place to spend time,” said Chennoufi.
Al Memzar Contracting, meanwhile is the contractor, and Chawla Architectural & Consulting Engineers is the consultant.
