LW Design team picked up this year’s award for the Interior Design Firm of the Year, having previously won this prestigious accolade in 2012 and 2014. With offices in Dubai, Hong Kong, São Paulo and London, the design company employs more than 140 staff worldwide. In the past 12 months, its Dubai office has delivered numerous hospitality projects in the region, including this year’s winner in the hotel category – Le Meridien Beach Resort & Spa in Dubai.
The judges called the LW team ‘the true champions of vision, project control and creating perfect volumes of space’.
And above all, the panel wanted to reward the company for nurturing talent and embracing its employees.
“We’re fortunate that a lot of great young designers came on board and joined our team,” says Richard Holmes, associate at LW. “To this day our CEO, Jasper Godsk, guides, and mentors them along with our lead designers Pia, Rachel, and Poojah, and they loving it. We truly have a great team.”
Moving beyond the mere design and aesthetics of interior spaces, LW Design has completed a vast number of projects that the judges described as ‘excellent and noteworthy’.
Another added that LW’s body of work submitted this year “outshines most others”.
“It is no doubt that the level of design excellence that comes out of the LW Design Studio is extraordinary”, said one of the judges.
The judges wanted to highly commend Design Worldwide Partnership for its impressive project portfolio. Other shortlisted companies in this category included: Bluehaus Group, Godwin Austen Johnson, Kristina Zanic Consultants, Perkins + Will, Swiss Bureau Interior Design, and Wilson Associates.
The award was presented by Samer Deeb, area manager from Roca, this year’s CID Awards Platinum sponsor.
