A chocolate replica of the world’s tallest tower is on display from Sunday inside the Dubai International airport.
Made entirely from Belgian chocolate, the 13.5m tall replica of the Burj Khalifa will be on display for two weeks.
Created in celebration of the 43rd UAE National Day, the tower is a Guinness record by master chocolatier Andrew Farrugai.
The tower was created with 4, 200kg of Belgian chocolate and took 1,050 hours to complete.
“Dubai is known all over the world for superlatives — the city is home to some of the world’s tallest buildings apart from Burj Khalifa; one of the world’s top two busiest international airports, one of the world’s largest seaports, largest shopping malls and a number of other world firsts,” said Anita Mehra, the vice president of communications and business development, the National reported.
“We thought it was a great idea to celebrate National Day with a record breaking feat that travelers passing through Dubai International would be able to appreciate.”
