Dubai-based architect and interior designer Agata Kurzela has joined boutique design studio Pallavi Dean Interiors (PDI) as associate director, overlooking residential and hospitality projects.
“Agata is a real talent house – bringing to the table her stellar experience in hospitality design,” says Pallavi Dean, design director at PDI. “Her background in architecture fits very well within the PDI design philosophy of blurring boundaries between all design disciplines, including architecture, interiors, graphic and product design.”
Kurzela worked in Paris and London for the likes of Christian de Portzamparc and Zaha Hadid before settling down in the Middle East. She has more than a decade of multi-disciplinary experience, working in master planning, architecture and interior design. Before joining PDI, Kurzela was in charge of the interior design department at AK Design, creating high-end boutique offices as well as large-scale government and hospitality projects.
For her previous work at AK Design, Kurzela has been shortlisted for the CID Awards 2016 in the Interior Designer of the Year category.
In July 2015, Pallavi Dean Interiors relocated to an office in the Dubai Design District (d3) to allow for the expansion of the firm and its team.
