Commercial Interior Design Awards would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. Here you have a chance to get to know them. Today, we introduce Shaw Contract and Häfele.
Shaw Contract is a manufacturer and distributor of carpet floor coverings, including carpet tiles, broadloom and resilient products. The company is one of this year’s Silver sponsors and will present the office category at this year’s event.
Shaw Contract finds the CID Awards to provide a great way to reach out to a wider crowd.
“The CID Awards is the highest profile and most respected awards for interior design in the region. It is a chance for Shaw Contract to invite our key guests to enjoy an evening of celebration whilst associating the Shaw Contract brand name with the ‘best of the best’ in the region,” says Andrew Jackson, marketing director at Shaw Contract Group EMEA.
As Jackson states, the potential project mix taking place in the Middle East region over the next three years is very exciting.
“So many opportunities across different segments give a huge variety of options,” he says. “The range of design led products on the market is immense. The choice for designers has never been better.”
Shaw Contract is in the midst of several product launches, including a variety of hospitality design options. The Vertical Layers carpet tile collection, launched this year, has already received positive reviews.
“A new hexagon carpet tile collection called Configure was also launched at Workspace at Index in May and is designed to integrate with our new Hexagon LVT collection. We have also just previewed three specific hospitality collections and the feedback has been fantastic, so we’re looking forward to showcasing these and more new collections before the end of the year,” says Jackson, announcing that its “Made by Design” campaign will be launched in the next few months.
Häfele Middle East was established in 1997 with its main office and showroom in Dubai and sales offices in Kuwait, Qatar, KSA and Bahrain. As a highly regarded partner to architects and interior designers, Häfele joins the CID Awards as a Silver sponsor.
Adam Taylor, general manager of Häfele GCC, says: “The awards bring together so many of our clients in one setting where we can not only network with them but celebrate our joint success as so many of these projects are supplied with our products.
“Every project seems to challenge what can be done with design and style which never seem to stop evolving. There is simply no shortage of stunning buildings we can now consider as good international references for our products and services.”
Häfele plans to expand its Middle East head office and showroom in Dubai. He says: “Our sliding door and wardrobe systems offer space saving ideas with both styles as well as the latest features such as soft-closing dampers. This makes rooms safer, quieter and more comfortable while adding to the quality. We have also launched our latest generation of hotel door-lock solutions, which can now open the guest room door using a smartphone and avoid check-in queues altogether.”
