Founded in 1873 and headquartered in Kohler, Wisconsin, Kohler Co is one of the oldest and largest privately held companies in the US comprised of more than 30,000 associates. With more than 50 manufacturing locations worldwide, Kohler has been in the MENA region for more than 30 years and stands again this year as a Gold sponsor for the CID Awards.

For Kohler, the event is an opportunity to increase its brand awareness among interior designers in the region.

“London is our base for design for the Middle East region and we are very clear about its strategic importance. You will see more specific products for the Middle East launched. We have been absorbing cultural needs and influence and have created The Silk Road collection of artist editions vessels.”

Adding to its Artist Edition collection, the company has recently introduced two new vessels, known as Mica. It comes in two shapes – circular and rectangular. It is more transparent than white and more glittering than gold.

“This special combination of a white basin with a gold edge presents a special sense of glamour. The fine bone china has a 6mm thin edge design giving it an extremely transparent artistic effect. The Supramic material delivers harder and more durable performance compared with common ceramic,” she says.

Kohler will be opening two new showrooms in the region – one in Khobar, Saudi Arabia and one in Muscat, Oman.

Kohler’s message to designers is to design with grace and to integrate sustainability with bathrooms, as both concepts go hand in hand.
