NEOM has unveiled its latest resort, Treyam, situated across the opening of one of the lagoons at the southern end of the Gulf of Aqaba, close to The Line.
The design draws inspiration from the region’s natural beauty and the surrounding landscape, combined with a futuristic approach to architecture.
Its bridge-like architecture will connect the northern and southern shores, hosting a 250-room luxury resort. Its upper and lower floors offer views of the tidal lagoon below and the skies above. There will also be a 450m rooftop infinity pool.
“From this elevated vantage point 36 meters above the sea, guests will be treated to an awe-inspiring experience, seemingly floating, with a breath-taking panoramic view of the lagoon, the vibrant corals and the tranquil, uninterrupted waters extending to the horizon,” NEOM said in a statement.
Treyam is designed for adventure and endeavour, according to NEOM and will offer sailing, diving and other water sports, along with a range of land-based activities.
The destination will also feature technology-enhanced health and wellness offerings and fitness amenities, alongside luxury spa treatments accompanied by a selection dining options.
The destination will be aligned with NEOM’s commitment to conservation and innovation that will be integrated into its coastal ecosystem. Its unveiling follows the announcements of sustainable tourism initiatives across the Gulf of Aqaba, like Leyja, Epicon, Siranna, Utamo, Norlana, Aquellum, Zardun, Xaynor, Elanan and Gidori.
