The Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre has unveiled Salvador Dali’s Dance of Time II sculpture in its lobby. The artwork is being displayed in collaboration with Hewar Art Gallery.
“This collaboration is a testament to our commitment to fostering a cultural environment for guests, blending luxury with art,” said Guenter Gebhard, regional vice president and general manager at Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh.
“We strongly believe in the transformative power of art to elevate the guest experience and displaying this unique piece by Salvadore Dali in our lobby, offers visitors a unique cultural encounter within the hotel.”
Described as an intriguing exploration of the fluid nature of time, it originated in 1932. The melted watch motif has become an iconic representation of Dalí’s interpretation of time, portraying it as a perpetual dance free from human constraints.
The sculpture captures the rhythmic flow of universal time, transcending the limitations imposed by human perspectives, historical contexts, and cosmic boundaries.
Situated on the 52nd floor of the Kingdom Centre with a panoramic view of Riyadh, Hewar Art Gallery has been a hub for artistic expression since opening in 2006. The gallery, meaning ‘dialogue’ in Arabic, serves as a space where artistic expressions from Middle Eastern and Western cultures converge.
