The new cultural landmark of Dubai, the Museum of the Future, has been officially integrated and open to the public. Designed by Killa Design, the museum utilised innovative materials and techniques to create a stunning architectural design.

The designers used techniques such as computer-controlled machining tools to cut an estimated 1,000 moulds that support the fibreglass and stainless steel frame of the structure. Advanced BIM modelling software such as Tekla Structures, allowed engineers to carry out the construction process as smoothly as possible.

Here is a sneak peek into the interior design details of the Museum of the Future:

Designed for the future

Besides the robotic baristas, flying jellyfish and other attractions, the interiors of the museum is a serene minimal haven that reflects the ambition and tradition of the country.

During the day, sunlight passes through the artistic calligraphy, etched on the facade of the structure, illuminating the inside of the museum. The interiors of the museum are clean and minimal with importance placed on various experiential installations.

The interiors are divided into various sectors or ‘chapters’, promoting health, ecosystem, innovations and more. The Alwaha wellness area features a soothing colour palette that helps you relax and take a break from the technology-driven world.
