Dubai-based design and fit-out company Depa Group has told Commercial Interior Design it is preparing tenders for some of the most ambitious projects in Saudi Arabia.

The company, which has seen two major changes to its hierarchy this year, has enjoyed a solid run of work in Saudi Arabia and the business is eyeing more.

A representative told Commercial Interior Design that Depa Group was tendering for four major projects: ultra-luxury resort Ammala, the King Abdullah Financial District, the Red Sea Project and Sharma.

The company, which recently won a multimillion-dollar fit-out contract for a superyacht through its German subsidiary, is already working in Saudi Arabia on transport and hospitality projects.

The company appointed a new chief executive officer in Kevin Lewis earlier this year, after former incumbent Hamish Tyrwhitt stepped Down.

Lewis was succeeded in his old role as chief of Depa Interiors by Robert Davies in July.

As well as projects in Saudi Arabia, Depa Group is also working on three projects at Expo 2020 Dubai, including with Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava who designed the UAE’s falcon-shaped country pavilion.
