To celebrate the opening of its new showroom on Sheikh Zayed, Porcelanosa hosted a Spanish fiesta-style soirée which saw the attendance of several high profile guests including the Spanish ambassador to the UAE. The showroom features luxury tiles, natural stone and mosaic, sanitary ware, bathroom furniture and kitchen fixtures, manufactured in Spain, as well as exclusive collections by the celebrated late architect, Zaha Hadid.
Porcelanosa started operations in Villareal, Spain in 1973 and has since expanded its presence to over 140 countries through more than 950 company points of sale including exclusive showrooms, distribution centres and an extensive network of independent distributors and retailers. It also has a flagship store in New York City’s Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. It has also been awarded the prestigious Royal Warrant of Appointment in the UK.
Silvestre Segarra, executive vice president of the company, says about the launch: “Dubai is an ideal location for Porcelanosa, given its dynamic and cosmopolitan nature. We have always set a high benchmark in terms of innovation, and architectural and design solutions, and hope to provide the same, rich experience to our clientele here.”
Adding to this, the firm’s UAE managing director, Ammar Hayani, says: “The people in the UAE appreciate contemporary designs and high quality, all of which are among Porcelanosa’s specialties. As a brand, our focus will always be on being at the forefront of design innovation.”
