Tribe studio, an interior and retail store based in Dubai's artsy Al Quoz precinct, has launched a new collection, PEG+, which has been designed by its in-house team using 100% locally-salvaged wood. The use of reclaimed wood pieces complements Tribe's sustainable collections of rattan and bamboo pieces.
Featuring clean lines and the atelier's signature peg styling detail, the collection can be used in homes or offices. The collection comprises a ladder, ladder shelf, desk and standing wall mirror. The items can personalised with the addition of accessories and fabrics, as well as in different colours such as natural wax, solid white and dark stain.
“The wood is aged and we find when working the restoration of each piece, the wood reveals its beautiful markings which embodies Tribe’s effort to only use recycled and sustainable materials," says Tribe's founder, Jo England.
“There is so much care and attention to detail that goes into the making of each and every piece, from lovingly restoring the wood to the details of the joinery. The collection emphasises our ethos and appreciation of handmade."
