Take a look inside DoubleTree Hilton Business Bay designed by dwp
Design Worldwide Partnership (dwp) has completed the design for the new DoubleTree Hilton Business Bay in Dubai, inspired by the traditional string instrument, the Oud.
The Oud’s warm, timber finishes and rounded forms are reinterpreted within various areas of the hotel, such as the hotel lobby and surrounding break out areas.
The layout of the hotel is inspired by the idea of a ‘home away from home’, featuring multiple ‘living room’-like spaces complete with an eclectic mix of furniture and colour palette.
dwp’s design for the new Dubai hotel has been shortlisted under the Hotel category for the 2017 Commercial Interior Design Awards.
Other hotel projects in the shortlist include The Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort by Stickman, the new Media One refurbishment by LW Design, as well as the HBA-designed Kempinski Beirut hotel. See full CID Awards shortlist here.
A full case study on dwp’s design of DoubleTree Hilton will be featured in the upcoming Commercial Interior Design magazine, and will be featured on designMENA next month.
