In pictures: Shortlist announced for Commercial Project of the Year
The shortlist for the Middle East Architect Awards has been unveiled last week with the event taking place on 25 November in Dubai.
Four out of the six shortlisted projects come from Iran including the 2000 $ Restaurant by L.E.D Architects, the Golfam Office Buildling by Fluid Motion Architects, Jordan Tower by Hajizadeh & Associates and the Bamiyan Cultural Center by Xema Architects.
The remaining two are both UAE-based architecture firms including Woods Bagot’s Commercial Headquarters for IRENA in Abu Dhabi and U+A Architect’s Meraas Extension Office.
The winner of the 2014 Commercial Project of the Year was Al Hamra Tower by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.
