Perkins + Will Dubai office has recently completed King’s College Hospital Clinic Jumeirah in Dubai, providing a clean, contemporary and welcoming environment for both patients and staff.
The project was designed with a ‘hospitality style’ and design in mind, using a neutral palette with colourful on-brand accents to promote a comforting yet stimulating design in a clinical setting.

A warm material palette with rich timber and more muted beige tones conveys a classic yet contemporary feel, using brand color accents to create pockets of visual interest.
The children’s play area uses on-brand color accents to provide a visual focal point of interest. Comfortable and durable fabrics are used on assorted furniture pieces, allowing young users to adapt the area as best suited to play.
Natural light is extremely important to patient health; Reception and waiting spaces are oriented to take advantage of outdoor views, promoting well being and restfulness.
Staff breakout space is designed in order to provide a quiet and restful space, using durable materials and clean, contemporary lines.
Storage cupboards are designed to also allow for extra seating within circulation spaces; creating interesting and comfortable waiting areas for patients whilst utilizing all available space for storage requirements. High-level windows allow light to filter into corridors from consultation rooms, decreasing the need for artificial light.
