In pictures: Inside newely renovated Buddha-Bar Dubai
Following a major refurbishment at the end of last year, the interiors at Buddha-Bar Dubai offers a fresh take on its previous design, yet remains true to its original concept of taking its guests on an Asian-inspired journey.
New seating complete with dragon-embroidered upholstery, custom-made carpets, sculptures and 3D tiles, new wall lighting, vibrant shades of green and purple velvet, new wall and ceiling murals are just some of the new features of the refurbishment. The design team also added the Robata Grill kitchen and a bar on the mezzanine floor.
Pia Sen, associate at LW Design Group, was part of the design team who worked on the original concept for Buddha Bar back in 2005, and was tasked with the same space for the recent refurb.
What were some of the challenges while working on this project? Which signature elements remained in place and which areas were added or repurposed to improve the venue’s overall functioning and offerings?
