CID Power 50 2024: Aga Al Rumaihi

With 12 years of experience in interior design, Aga Al Rumaihi has carved a unique niche for herself in the GCC’s design landscape.

Over the past two years, as the founder and interior designer at Aga Rumaihi Interiors, she has brought innovation and creativity to diverse projects. Her work on the Tala Al Seef residential concept for Dar Wa Emaar earned her the CID Highly Commended Award in 2024.

Notable collaborations include Amazon (set design for its official Middle East campaign), MBC2 (documentary set design), ABC Bank (executive offices) and the Dar Wa Emaar (executive offices and client experience centre in Hittin, Riyadh).

Aga Rumaihi is also gearing up for ultra-luxurious villa projects with Plumeria Properties.
Her signature approach is evident in residential projects such as Plumeria Gardens Villa, Villa Maya, and Oasis Villa. Aga Rumaihi’s designs are recognised for their forward-thinking elegance and enduring appeal. By incorporating carefully selected accessories and unique, collectible furniture pieces, she transforms spaces into visually striking, functional works of art.

Sustainability remains central to her philosophy. With eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient lighting, and waste-reducing technologies consistently integrated into her designs. These practices not only enhance her projects’ aesthetic value but also align with global environmental goals.

Mentorship is another cornerstone of Aga Rumaihi’s professional journey. Recognising the talent of Onur Arsoy during a freelance collaboration, she brought him on board full-time and he now leads the 3D team. In addition to her studio work, Aga Rumaihi regularly shares her expertise at industry panels, discussing sustainability, innovative design practices, and emerging trends. Her contributions continue to shape the GCC’s interior design industry, pushing creative boundaries and championing a sustainable, inclusive future.
