Global architecture, planning and design firm, CallisonRTKL (CRTKL) has announced the appointment of Ashraf M. Fahmy as chief financial officer (CFO).
The Egyptian national will be based in Washington DC in the United States, however, the firm says he will help strengthen its connection with the MENA region, where CRTKL has been present for more than two decades.
Developments it has been involved with include Ras El Hekma, LEED-Gold certified mall, City Centre Almaza (CCA), and one of the largest children’s oncology centres in the world, Cairo Children’s Cancer Hospital Expansion.

Ashraf joins CallisonRTKL from CHA Inc. where he was senior vice president of finance. He has a Bachelor of Finance from the University of Assiut in Egypt and serves on a US board of Shelters to Shutters, which provides housing and employment to people who have lost jobs and are facing homelessness.
Current CallisonRTKL projects in the UAE include the masterplan for Dubai Hills, part of MBR City and The Grove, a mixed-use development on the shorelines of Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island.
