Dubai-based interior design and fit-out firm Depa Group has named Kevin Lewis its acting group CEO, after former incumbent Hamish Tyrwhitt stepped down on 1 May, 2019.
Lewis is the managing director of Depa Interiors, one of Depa Group’s key operating units, and the company has described him as “an experienced construction professional” with close to two decades of experience in the UK and the Middle East.
He was appointed by the Nasdaq Dubai-listed company’s board of directors after Tyrwhitt stepped down earlier this month.
Tyrwhitt will remain on Depa’s board as a non-executive director, the company said in the statement to Commercial Interior Design.
This news comes just a day after the interior construction firm said its revenue remained flat in 2018, despite its backlog growing by 18% when compared to a year earlier.
Revenue in 2018 stood at $490.57m (AED1.8bn) for the business, a minor change on the $490.02m figure generated a year earlier.
Meanwhile, Depa Group was also named Fit-Out Firm of the Year at the CID Awards 2018.
