Calm and creativity: Inside H2R Design’s latest project

Explore the new home of the Dubai-based luxury communications agency MAIA

H2R Design has revealed its latest project, having completed the new office design of Dubai-based luxury communications agency, MAIA. The brief was for a space that exuded comfort, calmness and elegance, and a design that aligned with the luxury standards of the agency’s client portfolio.

“A space for calm that naturally allows for creativity to thrive, we designed the office to reflect the agency’s refined approach,” says Hasan Roomi, co-founder of H2R. “Confident and assured, the space is the perfect embodiment of the MAIA brand, where elegant design and function go hand in hand”.

The office overlooks the surrounding greenery of Emirates Golf Club, and an abundance of natural light cascades throughout the space.

A palette of muted and earthly hues including off-white, beige, light brown, and terracotta was used to emphasise the connection to nature and to forge a tranquil environment. Microcement microtopping and travertine marble flooring lay the foundation of the refined design, while the walls offer an extra layer of depth coated with rough textured paint.

To cater for the future growth of MAIA, the office layout was carefully planned to facilitate easy adaptation. Distinct areas have been established for workstations, an integrated pantry, and collaborative break-out spaces. Integrated features such as benches, storage, and shelving have been custom-made into singular units for the perfect combination of form and function.

MAIA founder Shadi Moazami described the new workspace as ‘a haven of calm refinement amidst very busy days working in PR.’

“Having proudly represented H2R for several years now, there was only one interior design firm that we would ask to design our new working space,” says Moazami.

“The entire process was incredibly collaborative; I had a clear vision of what I wanted the space to look and feel like (inspired by the luxury hospitality clients and destinations that we represent) and H2R used their expertise, creative vision and incredible attention to detail to make it happen.”
