Milan Design Week 2023: Orientaly by Ludovica Mascheroni brings clean design and high manufacturing

The fusion of Orient and Italy, represents a creative bridge between Asia and Italy

Ludovica Mascheroni, the high-end furniture company specialising in Italian craftsmanship, has announced their theme for Milan Design Week 2023: “Orientaly” – Oriental inspiration, Italian mastery. The fusion of two words, Orient and Italy, represents a creative bridge between Asia and Italy that finds its perfect synthesis in the new Sashimono models, modular wardrobes that bring together the ancient oriental technique of wooden joints and Italian manufacturing, high craftsmanship, and attention to detail.

The Milan Design Week will see the debut of two new versions of the Sashimono wardrobe, one for him and one for her, both united by sober elegance, fine wood essences, meticulously crafted coverings and finishes. The two wardrobes are on display throughout the week inside the Four Seasons Hotel Milano, Via Gesù, 6-8, with an aquatic theme.

The Sashimono wardrobe is a millenary art with oriental origins, which Ludovica Mascheroni has applied to their furnishing proposals. The term “sashimono” means “joined things” and refers to a design and assembly technique that does not require screws, glues, or nails but instead uses a complex and refined interlocking system of wooden joints. This technique allows the company to offer simple-to-assemble solutions while maintaining the high-quality standards that have always distinguished the brand. For Ludovica Mascheroni, Sashimono is a philosophy that they want to apply not only to wardrobes and walk-in closets but also to other furnishing elements such as sofas.

Alongside the new Sashimono wardrobes, the Ludovica Mascheroni boutique in Via Gesù 13 presents other furniture novelties. These include a new living space, a new artistic boiserie, new seats in the dining space, a new bedroom, a reinterpretation of the ground floor, and a new piece of furniture dedicated to the coffee ritual.

Linked to the “Orientaly” theme, visitors to the boutique can also have an immersive experience in oriental atmospheres thanks to an elegant herbal tea cabinet, a precious tea table, another artistic boiserie, and a presentation of the Sashimono joints, in addition to the new conservation concept with essential oils for garments care.

The brand Ludovica Mascheroni is characterised by its maximum expression of high manufacturing, which manifests itself in the great attention to detail, the excellence of the choice of materials, and the rigorously artisanal production. Clean design, warm and bright nuances, and elegant lines – everything in the Ludovica Mascheroni brand is studied down to the smallest detail to surprise even the most attentive and demanding customer.

The Milan Design Week 2023 takes place from April 18-23, 2023. Ludovica Mascheroni’s furniture novelties are presented throughout the Design Week in the Milanese boutique, Via Gesù 13, inside the Four Seasons Hotel Milano, Via Gesù 6-8, and in the Meda showroom, Via Cadorna 21.

Ludovica Mascheroni’s “Orientaly” theme is a celebration of the union between two cultures, and the new Sashimono wardrobes are a testament to the company’s commitment to high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. With their simple yet refined interlocking system of wooden joints, the Sashimono wardrobes provide a glimpse into the company’s philosophy of offering simple-to-assemble solutions while maintaining their high standards of quality. The Ludovica Mascheroni brand aims to create furniture that surprises even the most discerning customers, and the new Sashimono wardrobes are just one example of their commitment to excellence in design and craftsmanship.
