Havelock One, Admira and Samsung have partnered up to develop the Covid Defender.
The 'digital concierge' combines AI IoT technology to ensure compliance with recommended Covid-19 safety measures when people enter commercial spaces like malls, hotels and restaurants.
It comes with a host of basic and optional features such as mask and temperature detection, capacity and appointment management, as well as social distancing control.
There's the capacity for an integrated touchless hydro-alcoholic gel dispenser and the provision of additional PPE, like masks and gloves.
Finishes are available in metal or Corian and the unit comes with a 32” Samsung screen (1080x1920 px) and a thermal camera.
All the real-time data and display content can be managed by an accompanying app and remote monitoring and support are available.
“Having decades of experience, working for clients in the hospitality, retail, commercial and entertainment sectors, we have a great understanding of the needs around reception desks and welcome counters,” says Mark Waters, division director of retail manufacturing at the turnkey interior contracting firm, Havelock One.
“Collaborating with the Spanish technology company, Admira, and Samsung Display Solutions has allowed us to integrate their AI and digital display know-how and technology with our regional fit-out and manufacturing expertise.”
The units, which can be customised with branding, are manufactured and assembled in Havelock One’s factory in Askar, Bahrain.
