Prayer rooms in UAE commercial towers and shopping centres can re-open on Monday

Prayer rooms in commercial centres and towers will be reopened on Monday, July 20th, was announced on Saturday.

Capacities will be limited to 30 per cent, according to a brief issued by the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments and the National Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Authority

Worshippers must maintain a distance of two meters, are prohibiting gatherings before and after prayer and must avoiding shaking hands.

Putting on a mask and sterilising their hands before entering the prayer room is also compulsory.

Worshippers will also need to read the Qur’an from their smartphones or tablets, use provided single-use prayer mat and and download the Al Hosn app to their smartphones.

The ablution places will be sterilised after they are used by each worshipper, and prayer rooms will be sterilised after each prayer and closed until the next prayer time.
