LWK + PARTNERS has continued its expansion plans as it opens its 12th studio.
The new office in the Saudi capital Riyadh marks the design architecture practice's second physical presence in the MENA region.
Since the regional Dubai-based headquarters opened in 2018, LWK + PARTNERS says it has been supporting Saudi Arabia 2030 Vision, which includes strategies to elevate tourism as a major contributor to economic diversification.
Plans for the kingdom include a 366km2 entertainment city called Qiddiya Resort.
Managing director of the Hong Kong consultancy’s Middle East and North Africa business, Kerem Cengiz, says: "We have imagination paralleled by dynamic corporate governance. We also have a strong management team that consists of people whom we trust to lead and represent the company."
MENA design director, Kourosh Salehi, also commented on the opening, saying: “We are excited about the opportunity to offer our brand and fresh perspective in design to our Saudi clients. Being in The Kingdom we will be able to better engage and utilise our local knowledge, presence and experience to support the specific needs of our clients, stakeholders and end-users.”
Further growth plans for the next five years include furthering the firm’s international footprint in Southeast Asian markets like Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia, in addition to the Philippines and Myanmar.
They would join a network of 12 offices around the globe providing services including architecture, planning, urban design and interiors.
