Dubai Design Week has put a call out for local designers to take part in its upcoming edition.
The 2020 episode of the annual design celebration will mix both digital as well as physical components that incorporate distancing measures.
Revised programming will take place at the festival’s main hub in Dubai Design District (d3) and in locations across the city.
Shortlisted designers will see their works appear in one of the spotlight spaces of d3 during the event, which takes place from November 9th-14th.
Open to applicants living in the UAE and for design proposals that haven’t been exhibited before, the call out goes to all design disciplines, including interiors.
Creatives are invited to explore themes related to locality, collective work, future imagining and sharing of public space under physical and mobility restrictions and reach out with innovative ideas for staging multi-disciplinary collaborations, pop-up exhibitions, cultural showcases, installations or unique digital experiences, talks, workshops or masterclasses or even a semi-permanent public space installation.
Download an application form to apply before the deadline of July 10th.
