Malls and other shopping venues in Dubai can now return to their regular hours, local authorities announced on Thursday.

On Thursday (June 25th), our sister title Arabian Business reported on a tweet from Dubai’s Department of Economic Development.

It said that after a federal decision, “all commercial establishments and shopping malls in Dubai are allowed to resume their regular working hours while still applying the precautionary measures."

Dubai Metro can also resume operating at its normal hours, although passengers must still follow precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, such as wearing masks.

The UAE's National Sterilisation Programme came to an end on Wednesday (June 24th), meaning an overnight curfew has been lifted.

However restrictions on entering the emirate of Abu Dhabi are still in place.

If this has minded you to make a mall trip, then The Dubai Mall has recently launched a nine-storey extension designed and built by BSBG.

Introducing a contemporary architectural narrative through "unique articulation and design features," the Dubai Mall Zabeel is packed with funky and colourful artworks - and a third food court.

Even inside the parking lot, where 52 murals have been created across seven floors of parking by local artists and designers around the theme of transportation.
