The borders of Abu Dhabi will remain closed for another week.

No-one from outside of Abu Dhabi has been able to enter the emirate since June 2nd without a special permit.

Movement is also not permitted between regions in the emirate including Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafrah.

The ruling was initially in place for a week, which extended for a second week and now the ruling has been renewed for a third.

Exemptions can be made for employees working in vital sectors; patients with chronic diseases visiting hospitals; and the transportation of essential goods.

For those reasons, you'll need a permit, which can be applied for on Abu Dhabi Police's website.

Museums and cultural attractions in the emirate have been issued with a set of guidelines to follow to make sure they can reopen.

The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT) has put a series of stringent measures in place for all sites, which include running at 40 per cent occupancy and masks and gloves to be worn by staff and visitors.
