Abu Dhabi's Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster committee has announced that the emirate will extend the ban on public movement by a week.

This is effective from June 9th and is part of measure to combat the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak in the emirate.

National and residents are not allowed to travel in and out of Abu Dhabi, state-run news agency Abu Dhabi Media Office tweeted.

Movement is also not permitted between regions in the emirate including Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafrah.

Exemptions can be made for employees working in vital sectors; patients with chronic diseases visiting hospitals; and the transportation of essential goods.

For those reasons you'll need a permit, which can be applied for on Abu Dhabi Police's website.
