Leading Italian auction house Cambi is to collaborate with designers to raise funds for a hospital hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The auction, curated by Milan-based creative agency Mr Lawrence, brings together a roster of Italian and international designers who will each contribute with the donation of one of their unique or limited edition pieces.
On the line-up are prominent international designers who have a connection with Milan, such as Fernando and Humberto Campana, Formafantasma, Roberto Sironi, Muller Van Severen and Analogia Project.
Milanese collage artist and art director Alvvino, based in Milan, is also contributing to Design Loves Milano with an illustration of the city's architecture.
Cambi will donate proceeds from the auction to the ASST. (Azienda Socio Sanitaria Territoriale) Fatebenefratelli of Ospedale Luigi Sacco in Milan, to help with the purchase of equipment and services to sustain local research for a COVID-19 vaccine.
Matteo Cambi, president and CEO of Cambi Auction House, says: "We are working on this extraordinary project with great enthusiasm. Milan, the beating heart of design has its ‘children’ all over the world and it is incredible for us to see so many designers and design professionals come together with the common goal to help support the city."
The catalogue will be available on www.cambiaste.com on April 23rd and the online auction will take place on May 12th.
