Five-star island resort Seaside Finolhu has temporarily closed to undergo a large-scale renovation project. The project will see resort’s villas, restaurants, public areas and golf facility all updated. According to the property, the refurbishment will modernise the destination and develop its Maldivian-inspired design.
Muza Lab’s co-founder Nathan Hutchins shared his vision of the resort’s new concept, saying: “Our new design direction focuses on the lens of the 'Kaleidoscope'; the changing colours, patterns and textures representing moments of discovery, wonder and delight.”
Seaside Finolhu GM Marc Reader explained: “Our passion and cordiality as hosts is to bring the finest guest experience. We see the importance of offering spaces that make people feel elegant and cherished, along with providing exceptional hospitality. This transformation project is perfectly in line with our vision to be a design-driven resort that appeals to international high-end affluent travellers. We’re excited to see the anticipated innovative developments during the first half of the year.”
The property added that its renovation project compliments its recent entry into the Design Hotels international portfolio. Design Hotels collates what it deems to be the most appealing design-led hotels around the world, focusing on style, art and holistic hospitality.
The Maldivian resort will reopen its doors in July 2020.
