The Dubai-based, design and architecture practice Godwin Austen Johnson (GAJ) has recently been appointed lead consultant for the Rumanza Golf Course Clubhouse in Multan, Pakistan, Middle East Architect reported.
GAJ’S work will involve concept design and architecture as well as interior design and specialist lighting.
Set to open in 2020, the clubhouse will form part of Pakistan's first Sir Nick Faldo Signature 18-hole golf course, located within the premium Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Multan.
The championship golf course, which marks Faldo Design’s first venture into the country, will include highend luxury villas and apartments, as well as extensive sports and recreation facilities.
“We are delighted to have this opportunity to work with DHA Multan on this exciting new project which will serve as an inspiration for golfers in the country helping to develop the sport and provide a prestigious residential and leisure development,” said Brian Johnson, managing partner of GAJ.
“Once completed, the clubhouse will put the finishing touches on what is sure to be an award-winning facility in Pakistan.”
In addition to a golf retail space the facility will also feature a number of social venues including lounges, grill restaurant, spike bar, coffee shop, private meeting and dining room. It will be designed to blend seamlessly with its natural environment creating a premium golf facility.
