Swiss Bureau Interior Design creates tribute to modern day Dubai in the interiors of Sara Group HQ
The interior design also draws inspiration from Sara's corporate values
Sara Group carries a host of brands that are well-known to the interiors industry.
From a portfolio of 50, we're sure you'll recognise Franke, Geberit, Grohe, Villeroy & Boch, Dornbracht, Gardenia Orchidea and more.
Swiss Bureau Interior Design drew on the core values of the business to design and build Sara its new 10,750 sqft HQ in Dubai.
With an 'industrial desert' setting filled with large cacti and lush greenery, the interior for Sara Group is an eclectic tribute to the modern-day emirate.
The inspiring new workspace nods to the flourishing city built on sand and brings contemporary working cultures and philosophies to light through robust space planning, zoning, and biophilic elements.
A series of activity-based workspaces break up the interior, forming an inclusive and interactive office within an engaging industrial palette.
The interior design draws inspiration from Sara's corporate values in subtle ways through thoughtfully placed features. Running from one end to another, there is metal detailing, decorative piping, and carpeting made of recycled material. Acting as a disguise for cables and wires, metal piping helped create a cohesive theme that flows across the office.
The vibrant townhall and large pantry, filled with a mix of natural and artificial plants, speak to Sara's collaborative nature. A feature wall of individually-painted kitchen utensils and plates are creatively arranged for a fun and bold atmosphere.
Workspaces portray a more focused environment, enabling productive days. With an open-ceiling concept, acoustics for quality absorption was a main priority. This resulted in a feature implementation of unique acoustic ceiling panels sat above the workstations. The layout ensures employees have a piece of daylight to minimise the need for secondary lighting.
A playful contrast to the industrial aesthetic pops of colour derived from Sara's various brands accentuates a subdued palette combined with metal mesh detailing and concrete finishing.
With a thoughtful nod to sustainability, a recycling strategy, water filtration systems, and E-waste battery points are systematically realised within the design.
The atmosphere is dynamic, bold, and raw, achieving an overall balance between a functional corporate office and a uniquely modern workplace culture.
Founded by Swiss interior architect Joakim de Rham, Swiss Bureau has a clutch of office projects to boast of, with clients include Nestlé and the ArabClicks Office, located within Dame Zaha Hadid's The Opus by Omniyat.
