Nominations for the 16th annual Commercial Interior Design Awards closed in late July; since then, the shortlists have been under scrutiny.
Our teams spent days pouring over the entries, which, as usual, are chosen on the strength of the submissions and not related to advertising spending or any personal preferences.
Over the next few days, we’ll announce all of the 18 shortlists. Some are longer than others, as many of the categories attracted entries in high double figures. All are a representation that we hope is fair of the high quality of 2022’s awards.
Our esteemed judging panel will then take the wheel and choose a winner and highly commended for each category. These will be announced at our awards ceremony in September 2022.
Record-breaking
Nearly 600 nominations were made for this year’s awards, our highest ever number. We hope we will see more of you than ever at the awards ceremony, as we return to our legacy venue of Madinat Jumeirah for a glittering celebration on 15 September 2022.
What judges will be looking for
Awarded to the fit-out company that has completed the most impressive body of work in the Middle East in the past 12 months.
The judges will be looking for contractors at fit-out companies who translate fabulous interior designs into reality for their clients. They will also expect to see evidence of overcoming obstacles, working to time and budget, supply chain management, staying true to the design concept and managing client expectations in the fit-out business.
