Impressive, concept-driven projects helped LW Design Group walk away with the Interior Design Firm of the Year trophy at the Commercial Interior Design Awards 2019.
The award-winning design practice won the same prize in 2017 and repeated itself this year, after completing a beautiful body of work that includes Waldorf Astoria in Kuwait and Raffles Hotel in Shenzhen, China.
The jury panel heaped praise on the design practice and its body of work, which they said was head and shoulders above the rest in terms of approach, presentation and attention to detail.
Commenting on the win, founder and CEO of LW Design, Jesper Godsk said: "It is unbelievable. We are celebrating our 20 year anniversary this year and we are all having a big party tonight.
He added: "We are one of the old timers. We started as a small company back in 1999 and we have grown into a global company now with an office in Hong Kong and Sao Paulo and opening an office in Denmark soon. And we are going to continue growing and see what the world brings us."
KCA International took home the Highly Commended prize for an outstanding contribution to regional hospitality design.
LW Design Group and KCA International were shortlisted alongside AAID, Bishop Design, Design Worldwide Partnership, Godwin Austen Johnson, Swiss Bureau Interior Design and Wilson Associates.
