Previously one of the founders of the well-known firm, Bishop Design, Sohoel launched her multidisciplinary practice 2015, and has gone on to have a presence in the UK with the opening of a London office earlier this year. With upscale residential projects in the UAE and the UK already in the bag, the Norwegian native has worked with clients such as Emaar, W Hotels, The Fairmont Hotel and Dubai Properties. At the recently concluded Dubai Design Week 2018, Sohoel designed a virtual reality pavilion, called The Space Between, highlighting the importance of using VR technology in the fields of interior design and architecture.
She regularly contributes to the city’s academic framework by undertaking mentoring programmes, such as those with the American University of Dubai. Among the recently completed projects by the firm is the show apartment for W Hotels and Residences, as well as several luxury residences. Not the least, the portfolio also includes the Floating Casino in Macau, which is currently under construction.
