ISG has won one of the UAE's biggest education fit-out contracts this year, securing the University of Wollongong campus package.
The UK-headquartered company will fit out the six-floor ultramodern Dubai campus, which is due to open in September 2020.
Designed by Woods Bagot, it covers more than 18,000m² and is located in Dubai Knowledge Park.
ISG has a comprehensive scope. It includes design validation, completion of the base build, fit-out of the entire building from shell and core, delivery of infrastructure for IT systems and data rooms, and managing services providers and supply chain partners.
Scott McCulloch, general manager of ISG Middle East, said he was delighted to secure the contract.
“University of Wollongong in Dubai is one of the most established educational institutions in the region, and we are delighted to be working alongside such a forward-thinking organisation to deliver its campus of the future and give its students quality space that fosters creativity and innovation, and allows them to thrive.”
Saeed Rehman, ISG Middle East’s bid manager, described the deal as “one of the most prestigious fit out projects in the UAE education sector” in 2019.
President of the University of Wollongong in Dubai, Professor Mohamed Salem, added: “This new campus culminates in 26 years of growth in Dubai as the first international university in the region. From humble beginnings in our first building in 1993, we have grown significantly to our new, purpose-built campus of the future that has been designed from the ground up for our students.”
